Office based, permanent position with a salary of £38,000-£42,000. HR Recruit is looking for an experienced HR professional for a stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This newly created position offers an excellent opportunity to establish strong HR foundations within a growing company in the industrial sector. The company is based in a small village near Salisbury, so having a car is essential for commuting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the company’s procedures comply with employment regulations.
  • Keeping the HR database up to date.
  • Overseeing 360-degree recruitment in conjunction with the relevant Line Manager.
  • Creating contracts of employment.
  • Managing the onboarding process including liaising with the Payroll Administrator regarding new starters.
  • Coordinating staff 3-month reviews with their Line Manager.
  • Annually updating the employee handbook.
  • Recruiting and liaising with colleges and apprentices to ensure that all of the correct paperwork is in place.
  • Adding an apprentice onto the DAS system and being a point of call with all of the relevant colleges regarding progression of the apprentice in tandem with their Line Manager.
  • Organising service rewards and keeping the database up to date.
  • Assisting with any disciplinary processes and formal grievances.

Person Specification:

  • At least 3-5 years previous HR experience.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law.
  • Hands-on with a can-do attitude.
  • Flexible approach.

The holidays are 21 plus bank holidays. In return, you will receive a salary of between £38,000-£42,000 plus statutory benefits. The role is office-based with hours from 9am-5pm and a 30-minute lunch break.
