Senior HR Advisor VacancyBardon-on-the-Hill, Leicestershire£40,000-£45,000On site roleHR Recruit is currently seeking an experienced HR professional for our industrial SME. The role is a newly created stand alone role and will report into the Financial Controller. The role will cover 2 sites which are Ripley, Derbyshire and Coalville, Leicestershire.
The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to grow as the business expands.Key ResponsibilitiesCovering and establishing a new HR department across both sites of the businessEmployee Relationsprovide HR advice on a wide range of generalist issuesSuccessfully represent the companys policies, procedures and goals, instilling these values in employees, whilst making sure the policies are also fair to the employeesAssisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new employeesEnsuring employees have correct pay and benefitsAbsence Managementupskilling and supporting managers to deal with absence management and supporting in short- and long-term absence casesEmployee Engagementimplementing best in class strategies and initiatives to optimise employee engagement and staff retentionTraining and Developmentassisting managers in implementing training plans for staff and helping create career pathways for employeesAdministrationensuring systems are kept updated and relevant reports are actionedDevelop, implement and maintain HR software to improve staff engagement and enable efficient reporting to payrollEnsuring that company employment policies follow national laws and regulations and keeping the companys policies and procedures up to dateDevelop and implement policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence managementDeal with grievances and implement disciplinary proceduresPerson SpecificationYou must have at least 4 years previous HR experienceAttention to detail.Good communication skillsboth written and verbal.Hands on with a can-do attitudePrevious stand alone experience would be an advantageIdentifying and resolving HR issues effectively and efficiently.A thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.A strong understanding of relevant employment legislation and regulations.In return, you will receive a salary of between £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience).
