HR Recruit is currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor/Junior HR Business Partner for our expanding client in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. This permanent, hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity to progress within HR, moving from an operational positioning into a role with increasing strategic focus and influence. The role will deliver both strategic and operational HR support to the Newcastle site, driving standardisation, simplification and industrialisation across the Shared Services model.

Base Pay Range: £47,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus bonus and excellent benefits.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Change management: support and lead aspects of the integration of HR processes into the HR Shared Services model.
  • Business partnering: partner with departments and the management team to enable a people‑first culture aligned to local business objectives.
  • Generalist support: support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, prioritising key risk areas and activities.
  • Employee relations: coach managers through a range of ER matters, ensuring best practice and compliance.
  • Organisational design: support managers and leaders in developing organisational design aligned to business requirements.
  • Process excellence: improve/enhance existing HR practices across the site, focusing on standardisation and waste elimination.
  • Talent management: embed talent management framework, supporting people development activities and succession planning.
  • Compliance: ensure compliance within people management processes.
  • Employee engagement: identify engagement initiatives aligned to employee feedback and improve culture.
  • Cross‑functional connectivity: build relationships across the Newcastle site, the UK & Global P&C team and other functional areas.
  • Problem‑solving: adopt a problem‑solving mindset and lead problem‑solving activities.
  • Employee wellbeing: support the mental and physical wellbeing of employees.

Person Specification:

  • 5–7 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Formal HR qualification such as CIPD, HNC, Diploma or Degree.
  • Excellent UK employment law knowledge.
  • Knowledge of change management and project management principles.
  • Results‑focused, comfortable operating independently.
  • Optimistic, motivated, resilient individual.
  • Generalist knowledge of the employee lifecycle.
