HR Recruit is excited to be partnering with an expanding organisation on the outskirts of Manchester for a newly created role to join the current HR team. This role leads the design and delivery of HR technology, people analytics, and reward frameworks. It ensures HR systems, data and reward-related operational delivery support effective decision-making and that compensation and benefits approaches align with organisational and market needs. Equally you will have an opportunity to shape the role within the organisation. There is the opportunity to WFH 2 days per week.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the HR Operations team responsible for payroll and benefits, ensuring strong controls, capability, and day-to-day delivery.
- Own HR systems (HRIS and related platforms), including data integrity, security, optimisation, vendor management, and system development across multiple jurisdictions.
- Establish robust people data governance, analytics, and reporting, ensuring compliance with GDPR, statutory requirements, and consistent data definitions.
- Design and maintain reward frameworks, job architecture, grading, and pay structures aligned to organisational strategy and market practice.
- Lead annual pay reviews, market benchmarking, and compensation governance, ensuring equitable, data-led decisions.
- Oversee benefits and pensions strategy, provider relationships, and accurate administration through HR systems.
- Provide strategic oversight of payroll delivery, working closely with HR Operations, Finance, and external providers.
- Ensure compliance with employment, pay, tax, and data regulations, maintaining audit trails and managing risk across HR systems and reward.
- Partner with senior leaders and HR colleagues to translate people data and reward insights into clear, practical recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR systems, reward processes, reporting, and employee experience.
Person specification
- You must have experience in reward, compensation & benefits, HR systems or people analytics, ideally covering more than one area.
- Strong knowledge of UK reward and benefits, including pay reviews, benchmarking, pensions and benefits administration.
- Hands-on experience owning or administering an HRIS, with responsibility for data quality and reporting.
- Confident using people data and analytics to support decision-making.
- Experience line managing or leading others would be an advantage.
