HR Recruit are currently seeking an experienced HR professional for a stand-alone role. Reporting directly into the MD, this is a great opportunity to join an expanding organisation. The purpose of the role is to lead the people function and work closely with the leadership team to help develop, grow and inspire the people within the organisation.
Role responsibilities:
- Maintain and update HR policies in compliance with UK employment legislation, providing guidance on complex employee relations matters.
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding administration.
- Lead initiatives that enhance organisational culture, employee engagement, and overall sense of purpose.
- Develop and implement targeted talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality technical and professional candidates, reducing external agency reliance and improving hiring efficiency.
- Design and deliver effective onboarding programmes to accelerate new hire productivity and integration.
- Establish clear competency frameworks for all roles, conducting ongoing skills gap analyses to inform training and development initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership and operational teams to identify high-potential employees and implement structured succession and retention plans for key roles.
- Support leadership capability by delivering development initiatives that strengthen coaching skills for managing both remote and on-site teams.
- Embed organisational values into all people processes, ensuring alignment across recruitment, performance management, and day-to-day behaviours.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience as a HR generalist.
- Able to be hands-on and proactive.
- Able to look and plan for the long term whilst also dealing with the present.
- Confident and able to challenge.
In return, you will receive a salary of between £55,000-£60,000 plus the opportunity to shape the HR agenda within an expanding SME.
