HR Recruit are excited to be partnering with a PE backed SME undergoing growth. Reporting directly into the CFO, this is a stand-alone role. The Group Head of People role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations across the Group alongside implementing HR strategies and plans that align with our business goals. There is the opportunity to WFH 1 day per week.
Role Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for employee, line manager and Executive queries regarding workplace challenges, other employee relation issues, HR policy and procedures.
- Own and lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the process and ensure a smooth transition into the organisation.
- Oversee offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and the processing of final documentation.
- Advise and guide efforts to address employee performance or conduct issues, including the preparation, review, and delivery of appropriate written documentation and performance feedback.
- Advise and support the Executive on any ongoing or future employee restructuring plans.
- Design, administer, and analyse appropriate employee engagement surveys and other feedback mechanisms to gather insights on employee satisfaction and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
- Liaise with hiring managers to reach decisions and co-ordinate with candidates during the recruitment process.
- Partner with the Executive to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies together.
- Stay up to date on changes in employment legislation in the UK, proactively updating HR policies and advising the Executive of those changes.
- Own the administration and renewal of all existing and new benefits (including PMI).
- Work with the Executive and line managers as required to develop learning and development plans that support high performance and succession planning.
- Manage the Employment Hero (“HRIS”) transformation project ensuring the accurate transfer of data, payroll transition and training of all end-users.
- Cradle to grave ownership of payroll including timely and accurate payroll data provided to outsourced payroll providers.
Person Specification
- Previous HR experience in a generalist role.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and compliance.
- Hands on with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Able to influence across all areas of the business.
The role client has 2 other sites in London, so travel to these sites is required once a month. In return you will receive a salary of between £65,000-£70,000 plus bonus and benefits. This role would suit an experienced HR Manager looking for their next move or an established Head of HR.
