Cedars Health Solutions is looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Carers / Support Workers in the Durham area. You will provide person-centred support to service users in their own homes and within the local community, helping them to live independently and enjoy a good quality of life.
Location: Durham and surrounding areas
Hours: Part-time, flexible shifts available (including mornings, evenings, and weekends)
Setting: Community and service user homes
Contract: Part-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support in line with each service user's care plan
- Assist with daily living tasks such as dressing, washing, and meal preparation
- Support service users with medication prompts where required
- Help with shopping, appointments, and social activities in the community
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes in a service user's condition
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For
- A caring, patient, and respectful attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel within the Durham area
- Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is an advantage
