HR Hub Plus Limited is delighted to be supporting our client, an established charity providing asthma support services, to recruit a passionate and driven Health Promotions Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health promotion, community development or healthcare professional to play a key role in developing and delivering programmes that improve asthma awareness, self-management and quality of life for adults, children, young people, families and carers.
Working closely with the Chief Executive and wider team, you will help shape and deliver a three-year programme of community-based support, creating a lasting impact across Aberdeen and surrounding communities.

The Role
As Health Promotions Manager, you will lead the delivery of health promotion activity across Aberdeen and surrounding areas.
Your responsibilities will include
- Designing and delivering engaging asthma awareness workshops and practical training sessions for adults, children, young people, families, carers, community groups, schools and workplaces.
- Developing relationships with NHS services, GP practices, schools, charities, businesses and community organisations.
- Supporting volunteer recruitment, training and ongoing development.
- Working with volunteers and community partners to improve access to asthma information and support.
- Identifying and engaging communities who may experience barriers to accessing health services and information.
- Developing health promotion materials, digital resources and awareness campaigns.
- Representing the organisation at community events, partnership meetings and external forums.
- Supporting media activity, awareness campaigns and public engagement initiatives.
- Monitoring outcomes, collecting data and preparing reports to demonstrate impact.
- Contributing to the continued development and implementation of the organisation’s health promotion strategy.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving health outcomes and making a positive difference within communities.
You will ideally have
- Experience delivering health promotion, training, workshops or community-based programmes.
- Experience working with communities, healthcare services, charities or public health initiatives.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Experience developing partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
- The ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a wider team.
A background in nursing, health and social care, public health, community development or a related discipline would be desirable.
Experience of respiratory health, asthma, volunteer management or working with underserved communities would be advantageous.
