HR Hub Plus Limited is recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation looking to strengthen its cyber security capability. This role is ideal for someone early in their cyber security career who is looking to gain hands-on, practical experience across a wide range of security activities.

The Opportunity

This is a career-building role where you won’t just observe – you’ll be actively involved. You’ll gain exposure to real-world security challenges, tools, and frameworks while supporting the delivery of the organisation’s IT Security Strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the implementation and improvement of security solutions
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and supporting remediation plans
  • Running phishing simulations and security awareness campaigns
  • Supporting Cyber Essentials certification processes
  • Assisting with security audits and risk assessments
  • Investigating and reporting on security incidents
  • Contributing to ISMS policies and documentation
  • Evaluating security tools and technologies

What We’re Looking For

  • Around 1 year’s experience in IT or cyber security (or relevant placement/degree exposure)
  • Understanding of cyber security principles and threat landscape
  • Familiarity with tools such as Nmap, Nessus, or similar
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials (essential)
  • Basic understanding of ISO 27001 (desirable)
  • Exposure to cloud, Windows, or Linux environments
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • A proactive, curious mindset
