A well‑established UK organisation is seeking an HR professional to join its people team in a hands‑on business partnering role supporting an operational workforce. This opportunity would suit an experienced HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor, or Junior HR Business Partner looking to step into a broader partnering remit within a fast‑moving, people‑focused environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting into a senior HR lead, this role will work closely with line managers to support day‑to‑day people activity, build management capability, and help embed consistent HR practices across the site. The focus is on practical HR delivery, developing confidence in business partnering, and supporting leaders with real, operational people challenges.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Operational HR & Business Support
    • Act as a first point of contact for managers on a range of people matters
    • Support managers with performance, attendance, and conduct issues
    • Provide pragmatic, risk‑aware advice aligned to policy and employment legislation
  • Developing Business Partnering Capability
    • Build effective working relationships with operational leaders
    • Coach and guide managers to improve people management confidence
    • Support workforce planning and day‑to‑day resourcing activity
  • Employee Relations & Policy Application
    • Manage employee relations cases with guidance from senior HR colleagues where required
    • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures
    • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of HR processes and ways of working
  • People Initiatives & Continuous Improvement
    • Support delivery of engagement, wellbeing, and development initiatives
    • Contribute to people‑related projects and change activity at site level
    • Use people data and insight to identify trends and improvement opportunities
