HR Casework & Projects Officer | Part-Time | 15 Hours per Week Over 2 Days | Hampshire | Hybrid Working | £175-£200 per Day (Inside IR35)
Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys balancing complex employee relations work with meaningful people projects?
We’re supporting a values-led organisation seeking an experienced HR professional to provide support during an important period of organisational development.
Reporting directly to the Director of People, you’ll play a key role in strengthening management capability, progressing strategic people initiatives and providing trusted HR expertise across the organisation.
This is an ideal opportunity for an independent HR consultant, HR Manager or HR Business Partner looking for a flexible assignment where they can quickly make an impact and help shape positive organisational outcomes.
The Opportunity
Working as a trusted HR partner, you’ll provide both operational support and project delivery across a diverse range of people priorities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising and coaching managers on a broad range of employee relations and people management matters
- Managing and supporting investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances and appeals
- Providing practical guidance on HR policy, process and employment law
- Supporting absence management processes and Occupational Health referrals
- Reviewing, developing and updating HR policies, procedures and guidance materials
- Facilitating actions arising from the Preventing Sexual Harassment Task and Finish Group
- Supporting wellbeing initiatives and organisational stress risk assessment action plans
- Contributing to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion projects and recommendations
- Developing engaging communications, guidance documents and people resources
- Supporting the delivery of wider people and organisational development initiatives
About You
You’ll be a confident and credible HR professional who can quickly build trusted relationships, work independently and provide balanced, pragmatic advice.
You’ll bring:
- CIPD Level 5, Chartered CIPD status or equivalent professional HR experience
- Strong employee relations expertise and up-to-date employment law knowledge
- Proven experience managing complex casework from investigation through to conclusion
- Experience delivering HR projects, organisational initiatives and change activity
- A track record of reviewing, creating and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management and coaching capability
- Excellent written communication, report writing and presentation skills
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and integrity
- The ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
You’ll combine hands‑on HR support with project delivery, helping to strengthen management capability, enhance employee wellbeing, advance inclusion initiatives and support the development of a positive and sustainable workplace culture.
