HR Administrator (Fixed Term Contract - 10-12 Months)

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Location: Office-based with some future flexibility

Are you an experienced HR Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of a business? We're supporting the appointment of an organised, proactive and people-focused HR Administrator to join a collaborative HR team on a fixed-term basis, covering maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll support and employee administration within a well-established and growing organisation.

This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, can confidently manage multiple priorities and is comfortable building relationships across all levels of a business. Previous HR administration experience is essential.

Reporting into the HR Operations & Reward Partner, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR activities whilst supporting employees, managers and candidates throughout the employee lifecycle. The role combines traditional HR administration with recruitment coordination, onboarding support and wider business administration responsibilities.

For candidates with broader office administration and reception experience, there is also the opportunity to support front-of-house activities and wider office operations. Where a candidate's strengths lie primarily in HR administration, additional support will be provided to cover reception responsibilities.

  • HR & Recruitment Administration
    • Managing HR and recruitment inboxes and responding to employee and candidate enquiries
    • Supporting end-to-end recruitment administration, including interview coordination and candidate communication
    • Conducting Right to Work checks and maintaining recruitment records
    • Drafting employee correspondence including probation, promotion and employment change letters
    • Supporting employee lifecycle administration, including leavers and reference requests
    • Maintaining HR systems, trackers and personnel records
  • Payroll & Benefits Support
    • Assisting with monthly payroll administration
    • Supporting pension administration and benefits processes
    • Assisting with HR reporting and compliance activities
  • Business & Office Support
    • Coordinating travel arrangements and meeting logistics
    • Assisting with office administration, supplies and visitor management where required

Experienced within an HR Administration role

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel

Experienced using HR systems and databases would be advantageous

Candidates undertaking both HR and reception responsibilities will be required to work five days per week in the office. For candidates focused primarily on HR administration, there may be scope for one day per week working from home following a successful induction period and once fully established in the role.
