Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can genuinely shape people practices and support a fast‑paced operational workforce? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established manufacturing organisation as a Senior People & Performance Advisor, acting as the go‑to person for all employee support, manager guidance and operational HR activity.
In this position, you’ll provide expert advice, lead on complex people matters, ensure legal compliance, and contribute to wider initiatives that strengthen engagement and culture across the site.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead recruitment activity and guide managers through effective hiring and selection approaches.
- Support new starters to ensure a smooth and positive introduction to the organisation.
- Represent the business at careers events and local outreach opportunities.
- Partner with managers to apply people processes fairly and consistently.
- Manage a full range of employee relations cases, including conduct, performance, attendance and grievance issues.
- Coordinate occupational health referrals and ensure suitable workplace adjustments are identified and implemented.
- Handle flexible working requests and support resolution of interpersonal issues, including mediation where appropriate.
- Contribute to workforce planning and ensure teams have the right skills coverage.
- Create and deliver training sessions to upskill managers and colleagues on people topics.
- Support engagement initiatives and continuous improvement across the employee journey.
- Keep HR systems and records accurate and up to date, including trackers and compliance documents.
- Support the review and upkeep of internal people policies.
- Deliver short briefings or toolbox‑style updates on HR matters when needed.
- Follow all health and safety requirements, reporting any risks or concerns promptly.
- Work primarily on‑site, with the option for one remote day per week depending on business needs.
- Flex hours occasionally to support a 24/7 operational environment.
- Use HR systems and digital tools regularly.
- Complete standard employment checks required for a position of responsibility.
- Broad generalist HR experience within a dynamic environment.
- Strong background in independently managing complex people issues.
