We're recruiting for a Software Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of specialist industrial processing equipment. Working as part of a skilled small software team, you'll be responsible for developing, programming and supporting software for industrial machinery and control systems, worldwide, helping to deliver reliable and innovative automation solutions which includes programming robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support software for industrial processing equipment and control systems.
- Program and maintain PLC, HMI and PC-based control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve software and control-related issues.
- Support machine commissioning, testing and continuous improvement activities.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineering teams on new and existing projects.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with industrial automation or control systems.
- Familiar with PLC ST and HMI control programming knowledge.
- High level PC programming experience with languages such as C#, C++, Java, VB, Python or similar.
- Familiarity with industrial communications and machine control.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Exposure to automated machinery is advantageous.
