We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will create, optimize, and validate CNC programs to support production of precision components, using industry-leading CAM/CAD tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce and optimize CNC programs for milling operations to meet print specifications and production targets
  • Use PowerMILL to generate and simulate toolpaths, ensuring efficient, collision-free programs
  • Use Autodesk software (e.g., Inventor, Fusion 360 or AutoCAD) to work from CAD models and prepare files for CAM
  • Translate engineering drawings and GD&T into accurate machining strategies
  • Select tooling, cutting parameters, feeds and speeds; revise programs based on material and process feedback
  • Simulate, test and troubleshoot programs on machines; support setup and first-off inspections
  • Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to improve processes and reduce cycle times
  • Maintain program documentation and revision control

Essential skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on CNC programming experience
  • Proven experience using PowerMILL for CAM programming and simulation
  • Experience with Autodesk products for CAD/CAM workflows
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T
  • Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable

  • Experience with multi-axis (3-5 axis) machining
  • Familiarity with post-processing and G-code optimization
  • Practical machine shop experience (setup/operators) is a plus
