The role:
We're recruiting a Goods In Assistant to support the receipt, inspection, booking-in, storage, issue and reporting of production components and consumables within the Goods-in Department of this engineering/manufacturing company in Chelmsford. You'll report to the Site Supervisor and help keep materials flowing efficiently across site.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with receiving deliveries and booking in production components and consumables.
- Offload deliveries using a forklift (training can be provided if required).
- Move goods into the Goods-in Department and transport palletised items to relevant locations across site.
- Cut, count, batch and palletise components ready for storage/issue.
- Operate a computerised engraving machine.
