Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer Job Reference: 2605/11 Engineering – Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 per annum (Permanent) Role Overview An established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for an Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer to support the wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control panels and skid-mounted systems. You will also provide fault finding and breakdown support on installed equipment, both in-house and on client sites. Key Responsibilities * Controls work and electrical panel wiring * Read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics * Electrical installation of systems at client sites * Testing and commissioning of electrical panels, skids and associated equipment * Fault finding, breakdown response and corrective repairs to restore operation * Safe, competent use of power tools and hand tools Required Experience / Skills * Experience in controls and panel wiring * Ability to read electrical drawings * Familiar with power tools and hand tools * Strong fault‑finding mindset and a practical, safety‑first approach Desired Experience * PLCs and HMIs (user/diagnostic experience advantageous) * Commissioning of electrical panels and skids * Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
