Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver / Warehouse Operative

Location: Deeside

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: The role operates on a three-shift rotating pattern:

  • 6:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • 10:00pm - 6:00am, Monday to Thursday

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

About the Role

HRGO Recruitment is recruiting for a Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver / Warehouse Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Deeside. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a valid FLT licence who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring materials are received, stored and supplied to production safely and efficiently while maintaining high housekeeping and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely receive and manage deliveries at the warehouse.
  • Ensure all delivery drivers comply with site health & safety procedures.
  • Load and unload vehicles accurately and safely using a forklift truck.
  • Store raw materials in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Supply raw materials to production in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with suppliers and waste collection companies.
  • Arrange waste collections as required.
  • Carry out regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Communicate effectively with production and other departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Operate and carry out basic maintenance checks on balers, including rewiring when required.
  • Provide support to the goods In the department when needed.
  • Follow all company health & safety and quality procedures.

About You

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
  • Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills would be advantageous.
  • Reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work.
