Job Description

Fleet Vehicle Service Technician

Are you a skilled and reliable technician looking to join a busy, fast-paced workshop? We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Service Technician to carry out vehicle repair and servicing, tire fitting and general mechanical work on a rental fleet of over 250+ vehicles within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a range of vehicles
  • Carry out professional tyre fitting, balancing and replacement
  • Complete inspections, safety checks and service paperwork accurately and on time
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet turnaround targets and deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintain tools, equipment and a tidy workspace; report parts and material needs

Skills and experience required

  • Proven experience in vehicle repair and vehicle servicing
  • Competent in tyre fitting and related workshop tasks
  • Strong mechanical skills and diagnostic ability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting targets
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (or local equivalent)
  • Relevant automotive qualifications preferred (e.g., NVQ/IMI or equivalent), but demonstrable experience will be considered
