As the Training & Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of building a high-performance culture by creating, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training and development programs for our employees. This is a key role in ensuring that our team members gain the necessary skills and competencies to excel in their roles and contribute to our company's success.
You will collaborate closely with department managers to identify training needs and design bespoke programs aligned with our strategic goals. You'll serve as a champion for a culture of continuous development, and through your leadership, you'll drive the direction of Training & Development while also engaging in hands-on, practical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive training programs with department managers tailored to meet their teams' needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development across the organisation.
- Define and implement a framework for high-performance behaviours to support our business growth plan.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Training & Development programs, continuously refining our approach where needed.
- Identify and select appropriate training methods and resources to meet specific development needs.
- Manage and coordinate training records, ensuring accessible and timely information for managers.
- Ensure all training programs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide general HR support and assist with broader HR tasks as needed.
- Share T&D expertise with the HR team to empower them in training initiatives.
- Education: Level 5 or equivalent in HR or Training & Development.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a training or development role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, ability to design and deliver impactful training programs, and proficiency in using training software and tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and the importance of standard work.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in training and development are a plus.
- Generalist HR Knowledge: Experience in general HR functions with a willingness to assist on broader HR tasks.
- Personal Attributes: A collaborative spirit comfortable engaging with both shop floor employees and senior management.
