HRGO Recruitment is working with an established engineering and systems integration business to recruit a Technical Planning Coordinator to support its EC&I Construction team. The role will provide planning, coordination and administrative support to the Construction Manager, helping to coordinate a team of EC&I installers and commissioning engineers working across the UK. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are properly planned, resources are allocated effectively and site teams have the people, materials, documentation and support required to deliver safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the construction resource planner, coordinating labour across upcoming projects.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and the Construction Manager regarding project requirements and mobilisation dates.
  • Identify resource clashes, labour shortages and potential delays.
  • Act as a key communication point between Construction and other departments.
  • Support site teams with project, material, documentation and logistical queries.
  • Coordinate and check weekly timesheets.
  • Chase outstanding RAMS, permits, FOAs, materials and documentation ahead of mobilisation.
  • Maintain training and competency records, including the EC&I training matrix.
  • Support workforce planning, project mobilisation and construction readiness.
  • Maintain accurate trackers, records and departmental reports.
  • Identify and escalate issues before they impact project delivery.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a construction, engineering, EC&I, electrical or industrial environment.
  • Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
  • Experience coordinating people, resources or projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to chase information and get things done.

Desirable

  • Experience within gas, utilities or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of EC&I construction.
  • Experience with resource planning, RAMS, permits or FOAs.
  • Experience maintaining training and competency records.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Aconex, MS Project or similar systems.
