Salary guide: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime Rate
We are recruiting an experienced CNC Miller to join a growing precision engineering business producing high-quality, technically demanding components; this is a permanent, day-shift opportunity for a hands-on machinist who takes pride in setting, operating and programming a 5-axis CNC milling machine to deliver small-batch parts to tight tolerances within a skilled engineering environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set, operate and program CNC milling machines
- Operate and edit programs on FANUC controls (any other Controls experience considered)
- Create, modify and prove-out
Fusion 360 (CAD/CAM)
- Interpret engineering drawings and work to specification/tolerances
- Complete first-off and in-process inspection (quality checks and basic documentation)
- Maintain safe working practices, housekeeping, and support routine machine care
- Work to production schedules and support continuous improvement
Required skills & experience
- Strong background in CNC milling with setting/operating/programming capability
- Proven 5-axis experience (set-up and machining)
- Fusion 360 programming experience (essential)
- Good understanding of drawings, tolerances, and a right-first-time approach
- Reliable, team-focused, and able to work independently when required
- 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am-5:00pm
