Mechanical Assembly Operator
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Operator to join a busy production team assembling high‑end electronic products. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing electronic assemblies into housings and the ability to work accurately from written work instructions, pictures and diagrams.
Key responsibilities:
- Accurately assemble electronic assemblies into housings to specification
- Perform soldering and wire looming tasks where required (advantageous)
- Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, pictures and BOMs
- Use hand tools and light power tools safely and effectively
- Carry out basic inspection and functional checks to ensure qualityMaintain accurate production records and complete simple reports using Excel and Word
- Adhere to health, safety and quality procedures and production targets
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate issues to supervisors
Essential skills and experience:
- Ideally experience assembling high‑end electronic assemblies into housings
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, pictures and diagrams
- Basic computer literacy including Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity and a quality‑focused mindset
Desirable:
- Soldering experience
- Wire looming / cable harness assembly experience
