Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Rhyl
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00)
Salary: Β£57,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Engineer with a strong Electrical bias to join a well established manufacturing business.
This role would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys hands on fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role:
Working as part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting the ongoing improvement of site reliability.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative and predictive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Supporting mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Completing breakdown repairs and root cause analysis
- Supporting the installation, commissioning and modification of equipment
- Maintaining critical spares and engineering records
- Supporting continuous improvement and energy reduction initiatives
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
The candidate:
We're looking for a qualified or time served Engineer with strong fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment.
You should have:
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served experience
- Mechanical or multi-skilled engineering experience would be advantageous
- Experience using CMMS systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing would be desirable
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A strong commitment to health and safety
