Overview:
We're recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Folkestone. You'll install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment, working to industry regulations and safe working practices. Please note: this is a physically demanding role involving manual labour and working in varied environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment (wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers)
- Complete routine inspections and electrical testing to identify faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose issues and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
- Work safely at all times, following relevant QHSE procedures and guidelines
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, regulations and industry standards
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documents
- Maintain accurate records, including maintenance and repair logs
- Support apprentices and junior electricians when required
- Proven experience in an Electrical Engineer or similar electrical fitting role
- Valid ECS card (or equivalent certification)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, with effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- A valid driving licence
