Overview

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected business known for its quality, reliability, and innovation. They are looking for an experienced and motivated Buyer to join their small, friendly, and supportive team. The Role

  • As Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly by sourcing materials efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.
  • Raising and managing purchase orders and call-off orders
  • Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Managing production shortages and leading shortage meetings
  • Preparing and presenting weekly KPI reports on supplier performance and purchase order status
  • Maintaining accurate data within SAP and MRP systems
  • Monitoring supplier and cost performance against KPIs
  • Scheduling orders in line with production plans
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities

About You

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and detail-focused individual with a strong passion for procurement and teamwork. You will ideally have:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a Buyer or Procurement role (manufacturing/production environment preferred)
  • A relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business (CIPS desirable)
  • Experience using SAP and MRP systems
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
