We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating Specialist to join a busy powder coating production team. This is a 40-hour, Monday to Friday role, initially working the early shift (7:30am-4:00pm), with a planned move to a late shift (1:00pm-10:00pm) once introduced.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare components for finishing: cleaning, de-greasing, masking and hanging parts.
- Operate powder spray booth and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
- Apply powder coatings to meet specified finish, colour and thickness standards.
- Carry out routine quality checks and final inspections; correct defects or report issues.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area and perform basic routine maintenance of equipment.
- Follow health & safety procedures, COSHH and environmental controls for coating operations.
- Record production data and complete required paperwork.
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience as a powder coater or in a similar finishing role.
- Strong understanding of powder coating process, spray techniques and oven curing.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work standing for prolonged periods.
