HRGO is seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Handyman to join our client in their large warehouse in Ellesmere Port. This is a hands-on role for an all-rounder who is confident with tools, experienced at fixing a wide range of issues, and comfortable with regular heavy lifting. You will play a key part in maintaining a safe, functional and well-presented environment.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm
Location: Ellesmere Port
Pay: £12.95-£14.25
Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across the site (plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and general fixes)
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs promptly and to a high standard
- Assemble, install and maintain fixtures, furniture and equipment
- Perform routine building and grounds maintenance tasks (minor landscaping, clearing, cleaning)
- Move and handle heavy items and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report larger issues that require specialist attention
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and well organised
- Respond to ad-hoc maintenance requests in a timely manner and support site operations as required
Person specification / skills:
- Proven all-round handyman experience with a practical, problem-solving approach
- Confident and competent with a wide range of hand and power tools
- Strong ability to diagnose and fix things quickly and safely
- Comfortable with regular heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Good time management, reliability and ability to work independently or as part of a small team
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
