We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to join our clients team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in their care, based in Oswestry, Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for young people.
  • Develop positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and professionals.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Motivate and encourage young residents to engage in activities, education, and extracurricular pursuits.
  • Lead staff teams with expertise and enthusiasm in a residential childcare setting.
  • Display comprehensive knowledge of child development and an appreciation for the needs of children and young people.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential environment, including 2 years at a senior level.

  • Experience in preparing formal reports and contributing to the professional network.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current sector legislation and experience as a Registered Manager within a social care setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and residential children's homes standards.
  • Commitment to personal development and pursuit of further qualifications.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins, and participation in the 'On-Call-Manager' rota.
  • Proficiency in safe holding and physical intervention techniques.
  • Valid full UK driving licence.
