Overview
Lead and control shift manufacturing operations to deliver safe, efficient and on-time production, while managing Supervisors/Shift Leaders and ensuring compliance with company and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate shift Supervisors/Team Leaders to meet production plans and KPIs.
- Plan labour, manage overtime/agency use and ensure adequate holiday/absence cover.
- Control materials and stock (including aged stock) and ensure accurate ERP booking and labelling.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are safe, maintained and available, liaising with engineering/contractors.
- Enforce health & safety, quality, environmental and compliance requirements (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 37301, CE).
- Investigate incidents, maintain records and produce reports/data for management.
- Support training, performance management, recruitment and continuous improvement activities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing shift management or a senior supervisory role.
- Strong background in production planning, resource allocation and KPI delivery.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and shop-floor data.
- Good understanding of H&S and ISO-based quality/environmental systems.
Preferred
- Qualification in Manufacturing/Engineering or similar.
- IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent H&S training.
