About the Role
Located on the Essex / Hertfordshire border in Bishops Stortford, we are seeking a highly detail‑focused Production Quality Inspector to join one of the world's leading providers in Special Purpose Machinery that is supplied across the medical industry. This is the final‑stage of production, ensuring that every machine leaving the facility meets the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance and presentation. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role is to ensure that all products manufactured are to the highest quality standards the business demands and are compliant with all global areas relating to regulatory labelling and document storage for traceability reasons.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Inspection & Compliance: Perform interim and final inspections of machinery and accessories to ensure all quality standards are met. Review and manage all build and process documentation to ensure accurate data recording and full conformity to internal and global regulatory standards. Apply all required regulatory labels and ensure complete, accurate Device History Record (DHR) data. Manage the storage and traceability of documentation in line with global compliance requirements.
- Final Assembly, Cleaning & Packing: Complete the final assembly of access panels and external components. Clean all units to a professional finish, ensuring products are customer‑ready. Pack machines securely into crates or boxes so they arrive exactly as they left the facility.
- Shipping & Export Management: Handle the correct preparation of all export documentation, labelling, and shipping information.
Experience Requirements
Candidates must have the following experience:
- Final inspection of goods for quality of finish
- Management of documentation relating to the build process and staff processes
- Cleaning, preparation and packing of finished goods
- Final packing and preparation for despatch, including labelling and shipping documentation

- Strong understanding of quality standards and compliance
- Confidence in decision‑making and accountability
- Word and Excel to a competent level
- Ability to work independently and follow structured processes
- Working knowledge of electronics and mechanicals / electro mechanicals - Desirable
