The role involves providing technical support to manufacturing operations, including design interpretation, documentation, and specifications. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and improving processes to enhance quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Designing, specifying, and implementing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Supporting new product introduction from concept and design review through production launch.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and process optimisation.
  • Collaborating with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues.
  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for yield, build, and quality issues.
  • Participating in safety, risk assessment, and ergonomic reviews to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assisting with process transfers between manufacturing sites when required.

The candidate should have an HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent, experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or test environment, and a strong understanding of production processes, methods, and manufacturing systems. Experience with CAD software and familiarity with Lean, continuous improvement, or problem-solving methodologies is also required.
