Laser Punch Operator New opportunity at this busy sheet metal fabrication company for someone to operate this Amada Laser Punch combination machine. You will produce high-quality components to drawing specifications, and contribute to a safe, efficient workshop environment. This role can be offered on a day, late or night shift and the company has flexibility to adjust start and finish times to suit. Key responsibilities - Set up, program and operate Amada Laser Punch equipment for production runs - Interpret engineering drawings, nesting plans and work orders accurately - Load tooling, fixtures and materials; adjust machine parameters for material type and thickness - Monitor production for quality; perform in-process inspections and final checks - Carry out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of machines - Report faults and work with maintenance to resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime - Maintain accurate production records, timesheets and material usage logs - Follow health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Required skills and experience - Proven experience operating Amada Laser Punch machines - Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling - Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and CNC programmes - Competent in basic machine setup, tool changes and minor troubleshooting - Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts - Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team - Physically able to handle materials and stand for extended periods This is a permanent role with a starting salary dependant on experience and shift.
