HRGO Recruitment is currently seeking an Environmental Officer with experience in ESG. You will be required to join a busy international manufacturing business based in East Sussex. The successful candidate will have previous Safety, Health, Environment & Quality experience and be familiar with Environmental, Social and Governance standards. The ability to drive is essential due to the need to visit another site in Hampshire on a regular basis.
Job Summary
- Documenting, auditing, maintaining ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 (Quality and Environmental) systems and procedures
- Preparing data submissions and reports for customer and regulatory requirements
- Non-conformance continual improvement investigation and reporting
- Carry out health and safety risk assessments
- Collating supplier data for ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) and carbon footprint reporting
- Arrange and/or carry out SHEQ system checks and inspections
- A range of other SHEQ related tasks
- Facilities maintenance administration and organization
- Encourage and facilitate a strong team working culture.
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, always ensuring the safety of self and others.
- Keep a clean and tidy working environment including any 5S duties.
Key Attributes for Role
- Good interpersonal skills with literacy, numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Demonstrable skills in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Previous involvement in operating ISO 9001, 14001 and/or ISO 45001 (Safety) systems
- Likely to have at least 2 years' experience in SHEQ
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or desire to complete one)
- Experience of putting together data submissions for regulatory purposes
