Salary: £39,000 - £48,000 per annum

Type: Permanent

This role includes an additional £6,240 as the position requires 2 nights a week sleep-ins which are paid at £60 per sleep in.

Management – there are two different contracts available:

  • 39 hours weekly: Probation – £35,124; After – £36,362.04 + the additional £6,240 for the sleep-ins before and after probation.
  • 45 hours weekly: Probation – £40,528.40; After – £42,956 + the additional £6,240 for the sleep-ins before and after probation.

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a residential home, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding are consistently delivered. You will play a key role in leading the staff team, supporting young people with complex needs, and ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall management of the residential home
  • Lead, supervise and develop a team of care staff
  • Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and behaviour support
  • Contribute to care planning and risk assessments
  • Support with rota planning and operational organisation
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Liaise with external professionals, families and local authorities
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience within a children's residential care setting
  • Previous experience supervising or leading staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
  • Experience supporting young people with emotional/behavioural needs
  • Full UK driving licence
