We are working for an established aerospace precision engineering company supplying high quality, turnkey solutions to leading OEMs and tiered suppliers. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and innovation, they specialise in low-volume, bespoke components manufactured to exacting standards.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner - Setter/Programmer to join our skilled team, producing low-volume batch work where each component is unique. You will be responsible for programming (online) setting, proving out and operating CNC lathes to ensure complex aerospace parts are produced accurately, efficiently and to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set, prove out and operate CNC lathes using Mazak and Fanuc controls.
  • Interpret complex technical/engineering drawings to develop machining strategies.
  • Machine low-volume, high-precision aerospace parts from a range of exotic materials.
  • Ensure all work meets tight tolerances and stringent quality standards.
  • Carry out basic inspection to verify component conformity.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a high-precision, low-volume environment.
  • Ability to work from complex technical drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Confident in setting, adjusting/programming offsets and basic inspection.
  • Familiarity with Mazatrol and ideally also Fanuc control systems.
  • Experience with live tooling is highly desirable (training can be provided).
  • Aerospace machining experience is preferred.
  • Apprentice-trained background would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Mazak Integrex machines is a distinct advantage.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented and committed to producing work of the highest quality.

Standard Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:30

21 days' holiday plus bank holidays.

Company pension scheme.

Overtime paid at 1.5Γ— hourly rate.

This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependant on experience. This company is unable to offer visa sponsorship. We aim to respond to all applications.
