Expanding precision engineering/tooling manufacturer have an opportunity for a senior programmer setter/operator and engineer to join the team. The company works on cutting-edge projects in the Aerospace, Military, and Automotive sectors and has a strong specialism with large parts.
Responsibilities
- Program on and off line for 3 and 5 axis mills (software cross training available)
- Set and operate a range of equipment
- Work with diverse materials: i.e. variety of metals, composites, plastics and other materials.
- Apply engineering expertise: Utilise your abilities to assess and calculate speeds and feeds tailored to specific materials for optimal efficiency.
- Interpret complex designs: Bring your strong engineering background to life by translating intricate drawings into precise manufacturing processes.
- Mentor and collaborate: Guide and share your knowledge with junior engineers while engaging in team-oriented projects that foster innovation.
Qualifications
- Significant experience: Proven history as a CNC and CAD/CAM programmer, setter, and operator, preferably with exposure to die and mould tooling.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, as well as a deep understanding of machining processes and tooling techniques.
- Attention to detail: A meticulous approach with a strong commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
