We are recruiting for a growing and dynamic company in the freight forwarding industry, committed to delivering tailored logistics solutions to businesses across the UK and beyond. As they expand presence in the North of England, we are seeking a driven and experienced lead generator to join the team and help drive growth in this key region. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and acting as the initial point of contact for services in the North. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless follow-up and conversion of leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Make daily outbound calls to UK exporters and importers, introducing freight forwarding services.
- Utilise regional knowledge and ability to make introductions and build rapport with clients - assisting to create inroads with key contacts at businesses.
- Accurately log all interactions and lead activity in Cargowise CRM.
- Qualify prospects and pass quality leads to Sales Managers for follow-up.
- Achieve weekly KPIs, including: call volumes, leads generated, appointments booked, and conversion rates.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Incoterms, shipping practices, and freight forwarding industry trends.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, inside sales, or lead generation (preferably within logistics or freight forwarding).
- Solid understanding of logistics or freight industry terminology is preferred.
- Basic understanding of Incoterms and international shipping procedures preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems; Cargowise experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication skills with a confident and professional phone manner.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
