We are looking for a Customs Clerk to join our client based in Dover, to support import operations and customs brokerage activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliant, timely clearance of goods while collaborating with clients, customs officials, freight forwarders and internal teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and submit customs documentation, declarations and supporting paperwork for import shipments.
  • Manage customs brokerage processes and liaise with customs authorities to resolve queries or discrepancies.
  • Verify tariff classification, duties, taxes and valuation calculations in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Monitor shipment status, track clearance timeliness and update stakeholders on progress.
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems and audit-ready documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, customs officials and internal departments to coordinate shipment clearance and resolve issues.
  • Stay current with international trade, import/export regulations and customs procedures; implement compliance best practices.
