Expanding precision engineering/tooling manufacturer have an opportunity for a senior programmer setter/operator and engineer to join the team. The company works on cutting-edge projects in the Aerospace, Military, and Automotive sectors and have a strong specialism with large parts.
In this senior role, you will:
- Program on and off line for 3 and 5 axis mills (software cross training available)
- Set and operate a range of equipment
- Work with diverse materials: i.e. variety of metals, composites, plastics and other materials.
- Apply engineering expertise: Utilise your abilities to assess and calculate speeds and feeds tailored to specific materials for optimal efficiency.
- Interpret complex designs: Bring your strong engineering background to life by translating intricate drawings into precise manufacturing processes.
- Mentor and collaborate: Guide and share your knowledge with junior engineers while engaging in team-oriented projects that foster innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Significant experience: Proven history as a CNC and CAD/CAM programmer, setter, and operator, preferably with exposure to die and mould tooling.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, as well as a deep understanding of machining processes and tooling techniques.
- Attention to detail: A meticulous approach with a strong commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
About the Company: They are industry leaders focused on designing and manufacturing tooling systems and assembly fixtures for sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Military and Renewables. Premium rate overtime is usually readily available, early finish Fridays. This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependent on experience.
