We are excited to be recruiting for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our client's growing team in Ramsgate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business where your role will develop as you do. You will work closely alongside the Head of Accounts, gaining hands-on experience and full training while building a long-term career within the company. Due to our location, applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own transport.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the day-to-day finance and accounts function
- Maintaining accurate financial and company records
- Assisting with basic bookkeeping (full training provided)
- Liaising with multiple departments across the business
- Using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Working with accounting software such as Sage 50 or Zero
What We're Looking For:
- Previous office-based experience is desirable
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Maths at Grade 6 or above
- Basic bookkeeping or record-keeping experience is desirable
- A friendly, confident communicator with great interpersonal skills
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Knowledge of Sage 50 or Zero would be an advantage
- Someone who can work independently, take initiative and be trusted to get on with the job
- Not afraid to ask questions and keen to learn
- Brings a positive, innovative and proactive attitude
