Import Logistics Specialist
We are now seeking a proactive Import Logistics Specialist with experience (or the ability to learn) across all modes of transport to join our dynamic team.
Position Details
- Job Title: Import Logistics Executive
- Location: Tilbury, Essex
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Role Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record of at least two years working for a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
- Experience with CNS and Destin8. or Multi-freight.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a friendly personality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A strong and dynamic team player.
- Excellent mathematical and English skills.
Key Responsibilities
As an import logistics executive, you will:
- Liaising with various customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, including shipping lines, hauliers, and depots.
- Raising internal files.
- Preparing invoices.
- Processing supplier invoices and addressing any discrepancies.
- Monitoring vessel arrivals.
- Organising collections and deliveries to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Following up after delivery to confirm customer satisfaction and explore further opportunities for service.
Due to our location being a driver is essential as there are no direct transport links
