HRGO Rainham are supporting our blue chip automotive company for an experienced Diagnostic Technician to play a vital role in vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Based in Hainault, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a trusted automotive service provider committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using the likes of Xentry, Logic, Autel and mechanical knowledge.
- Servicing including cambelts/wet belts, gearboxes, engine repairs with addition of steering, braking & suspension work.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and assembly tasks efficiently.
- Repair vehicles and ensure all work meets safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly.
- Communicate with the Service Reception teamwork required & advise on parts required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostic findings and repairs.
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold company's high standards of service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for effective customer interaction when required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in automotive diagnostics preferred.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- MOT qualifications are advantageous.
- Min of NVQ level 3 or certain time served with experience.
- Own tools.
- Ideally A/C refrigerant trained.
