Location: Folkestone/Hythe

Contract: Temporary 3-4 months (until 31st March 2026)

Pay: £16.64-£18.86 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Mileage: Paid at HMRC rate (45p per mile)

  • Carry out spot checks across a range of TA properties
  • Complete fire alarm tests to ensure homes remain safe
  • Manage inventories, check‑ins and check‑outs
  • Support residents moving into TA - sometimes at short notice
  • Help prepare and set up new accommodation within FHDC stock
  • Handle any TA‑related queries or issues that arise

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll shine in this role if you:

  • Have a driving licence and your own vehicle - Essential
  • Live locally and can respond quickly to a short‑notice check‑in
  • Bring experience in housing, homelessness, property management or similar
  • Enjoy roles with a mix of field work, homework and office time
  • Are organised, reliable and great with people
  • Care about creating safe, supportive housing environments

What Your Week Will Look Like

This role offers a great balance of independence and teamwork. You’ll split your time between:

  • The Civic Centre (team day every Wednesday)
  • Working from home
  • Visiting Temporary Accommodation across Folkestone and Hythe
