We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our client's team! You'll be responsible for maintaining parks, open spaces, cemeteries, and housing areas, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and well-kept at all times.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A full driving licence
- Some experience in grounds maintenance tasks such as hedge trimming, mowing, and litter picking
- Reliability and flexibility
- A standard DBS check will be carried out
- Previous employment references will be obtained
Full availability during the busy season (June to September) is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Driving and attending designated routes
- Engaging with the public in a professional and calm manner
- Mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, and litter picking
- Machinery pre-start checks and basic maintenance
- Reporting issues or concerns to the supervisor
- Working flexibly to meet operational needs
Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not essential (training provided). Ability to operate maintenance equipment (training available). Reliable, flexible, and available throughout the April-September peak season. A standard DBS check (or willingness to apply through us).
