We are looking to recruit a multi-skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance for our client based in Grays who are part of a global firm, manufacturing rigid plastic packaging and supplying to a variety of major brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment in an FMCG factory.
- Diagnosing and fixing faults in machinery to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborating with the production team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Applying your technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations while maintaining work standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Electrical qualifications (NVQ, HNC, 18th Edition or Equivalent).
- Knowledge of PLCs and Inverter drives would be advantageous.
- Strong Mechanical Knowledge.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure production environment.
