About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Category Manager to oversee multiple product ranges. This is a hands-on role combining strategy, supplier relationships, and creativity, helping deliver product ranges that customers love while reflecting ethical and sustainable values.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage product ranges from sourcing to launch, ensuring they meet customer needs and business goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and promotions
- Set and review pricing and margins to balance competitiveness, profitability, and brand values
- Monitor sales, stock, and performance data to make informed decisions on product selection, promotions, and range adjustments
- Develop seasonal layouts, promotional displays, and in-store presentation to enhance the customer experience
- Collaborate across teams to deliver smooth execution and consistent standards
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer preferences, and sustainability practices to guide category decisions
- Champion ethical, sustainable, and responsible sourcing throughout all decisions
Who You Are
- Experience in a Category Manager, Buyer, or similar role within food retail, consumer goods or grocery.
- Strong commercial skills, confident in pricing, margins, and supplier negotiations
- Data-driven and able to make independent decisions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Passion for food, sustainability, and ethical retail is highly desirable
