A well-established, independent UK distributor of world-class test equipment, including advanced gas flushing instrumentation, is seeking a Trainee Field Service Technician to join its skilled and dedicated team. Serving leading organisations across the food, medical and pharmaceutical industries, the company is known for its technical excellence and customer-focused approach.
With a reputation for professionalism and service, this South Cambridgeshire-based company offers a close-knit, supportive team environment where engineers are trained, developed, and retained long-term.
The Role:
As a Trainee Field Service Technician, you'll receive full training to service, calibrate and repair high-quality gas analysers, gas mixers, and leak detection equipment. The role involves travel across the UK and Northern Ireland (occasional overnight stays), as well as work at the company's service centre near Cambridge. You'll start with training at their service centre in the Duxford area. Once fully trained, you'll be mainly visiting their customers across the UK and Northern Ireland (with some overnight stays) and part of the week based in the service centre. A company van will be provided once fully trained.
What You'll Need:
- A keen interest in engineering and technology
- ONC or Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence to work independently once trained
- No prior field service experience required - full training will be provided!
