Position: Payroll Assistant Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Human Resources / Payroll Working Hours: 08:15 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday; An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-orientated payroll administrator to join our established payroll function, supporting employees across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with senior payroll colleagues, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed correctly and on time each month, delivering an excellent employee experience. Payroll Processing: Assist with end-to-end preparation of monthly payroll for UK-based employees. Input and verify data, including salary adjustments, overtime, bonuses, and other variable payments; Reconcile time & attendance records, set up and maintain shift patterns, and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure correct pay calculations. Employee Data & Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records throughout the full employment lifecycle (starters, leavers, contractual changes). Ensure all personal and payroll data is handled with strict confidentiality and fully complies with GDPR and relevant payroll legislation. Benefits & Absence Administration: Support the management of workplace pensions and employee benefits (e.g., private medical insurance). Calculate statutory absence payments, including SSP, SMP, and other statutory entitlements, in line with company policy and legal requirements.
