Head office in Western Supermare-, but travel within 75 miles of head office ( Bristol and surroundings)

We are seeking motivated and qualified engineers to fill Level 3 and Level 4 Engineer positions within our dynamic team. If you have expertise in electronic security installations and maintenance, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities for Both Positions:

  • Installation and maintenance of electronic security systems, including:
    • Intruder Alarm Systems
    • Fire Alarm Systems
    • CCTV (IP and analogue)
    • Access Control Systems
    • Other Emergency Systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations within the Technical team.
  • Participate in stand-by duty after normal working hours on a rotational basis.
  • Take responsibility for personal and company tools and equipment.
  • Assist management with stock level control and ordering.
  • Ensure systems operate consistently in specified environments and stay updated on technological advancements and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending training workshops, toolbox talks, and relevant educational sessions.
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.

Specific Job Skills:

  • ECS/CSCS Card: A current card is required, demonstrating knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • First Aid Certification: A minimum of Emergency First Aid at Work certificate is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electronic security principles, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control, and CCTV for both levels.
  • Electronic Skills: Level 4 Engineers must have skills as per the Engineer grading schedule and relevant qualifications (e.g., FIA Units 1, 4, and 5 or FIA Foundation course). Level 3 Engineers must meet Level 3 skill requirements.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant British Standards and NSI standards, ensuring compliance in installations.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ideally Access or similar database. Good understanding of the company\’s CRM database and PDA system is important.
  • Literacy and Numeracy: Good numeracy skills are required for installation calculations, along with strong communication skills for face-to-face and telephone interactions.

  • Availability: Must be able to spend up to five nights away per month and commute reliably to the office base, with flexibility for extended hours when necessary.
  • Driving License: A clean driving license is essential; personal financial stability is preferred.

Management Ability:
While the initial roles do not include direct staff management, there are opportunities for responsibility growth within the company as it develops. People-management skills would be beneficial.
